Soccer Star Aaron Ramsey Ups Reward for Lost Dog in Mexican Territory to $20,000
Welsh football star Aaron Ramsey has increased the bounty for leads about the vanished pet Halo to $20,000.
The former Arsenal and Cardiff midfielder, who now represents the Mexican club Pumas in Mexico City, revealed that Halo was observed in a Mexican town, located in the Guanajuato zone.
The beagle, who disappeared on October 9th, was wearing a dog tracker collar, and Ramsey shared a Google maps location of the spot she vanished from.
"Any information regarding our beloved Halo please contact us. Substantial bounty for finding her. We are all praying she is unharmed and can be back with us soon," Ramsey shared on social media.
Initial Bounty and Heartfelt Pleas
Ramsey first announced that his dog had vanished two weeks ago and has subsequently uploaded numerous photos of the cherished dog on his social media account.
A £7,500 bounty was first announced, but with lack of updates on the dog's status after a week, Ramsey and his family increased the sum.
"All we desire is Halo returned," he expressed in a further plea on his online platforms after the 10-year-old dog went missing.
The most recent picture share is a grayscale photo of Halo snoozing, its head resting in the crook of Ramsey's elbow, with the description: "What I'd do to embrace you again sweet Halo."
Family's Anxieties and Background
The footballer has additionally shared a statement from his spouse Mrs. Ramsey on social media saying they have several "pressing concerns" surrounding the event and are concerned the household "could possibly not get explanations".
"We have yet to haven't found our dog. It is unlikely we will ever," the spouse's message expressed.
The Welsh captain signed with Mexico's premier team Pumas UNAM in recent months and made his first appearance in the Mexican league in August.
Originally from Caerphilly footballer is the first high profile British Isles athlete to play in the Mexican league.
